"As a GW Gymnast I have a commitment to this team to help reach our ultimate season goal. I have learned how to set very realistic goals related to both life and gymnastics. It has taught me to persevere through hardships and to stay strong against anything or anyone that stands in my way on the path I am taking to accomplish my goals. Being able to stick to my goals will allow for success in the future."

2011 as a sophomore: Competed in six meets on floor exercise in sophomore season ... finished second on team with career-high 9.825 on floor exercise at EAGL Championships (3/19) ... also finished second on team with 9.650 at Maryland Quad Meet (3/13).

2010 as a freshman: Competed in all 13 regular season meets in her debut season ... led team with score of 9.800 in the floor exercise against Kent State (1/29) ... also scored second best team mark of 9.725 in floor exercise at WVU Invite (1/24) ... placed first on team in bars with score of 9.525 at Girl Scout Meet (3/7) ... tied for team lead in bars against Maryland (3/16) with score of 9.675.

Career Highs: Vault: 9.675, Bars: 9.675, Beam: 9.100, Floor: 9.825, AA: 37.45

High School/Club: Competed at Junior Nationals as a level 10 gymnast in 2007 and 2008...Competed on the Region 7 All-Star Team In Cancun, Mexico...Took first as a team in the competition and first individually in the all-around...Finished second on vault and third on both the bars and beam...Competed for the Lakettes Gymnastics Academy from 2004-2009.

Personal: Born Stephanie Lucille Stoicovy in Erie, PA...daughter of Stephen and Donna Stoicovy... has a younger brother, Kevin (17) and two younger sisters, Emily (13) and Renee (10)...enjoys travelling and going to sporting events...pre-physical therapy major....aspires to become a physical therapist.
