Final Stats

TOWSON, MD - Senior Leslie Delima won the floor exercise for the second time in three meets this season, but the George Washington gymnastics team was unable to hold off host Towson, falling 193.175-190.525 on Saturday afternoon at Towson Center.

Delima continued her strong start to the season by winning the floor exercise with a score of 9.775 and taking first-place in the all-around (38.800). Through the first three meets this season, Delima leads the Colonials with a 38.850 average in the all-around.

Also contributing a first-place finish for GW was sophomore Kayla Carto who delivered a 9.700 on the balance beam to win the event. Carto also recorded 9.650 on the floor exercise, tieing for sixth-place overall.

Freshman Betsy Zander was the only Colonial to finish in the top-five on the uneven parallel bars, as she tied for second-place with a score of 9.725.

The Colonials return to action on Friday night when they travel to Raleigh, NC to visit EAGL rival North Carolina State for a tri-meet with the Wolfpack and Iowa State. Meet time is 7:00 pm.

GW will return to the Charles E. Smith Center on Sunday, February 11 when the Colonials host William & Mary for Brownie and Girl Scout Day.
