Smith Athletic Center in non-conference action. Senior co-captain Erin Aiken (Centreville, VA) was the Colonials' top performer on vault and floor to help lead GW to victory.

GW, which earned its sixth victory of the season and led throughout the competition, finished with scores of 48.45 on vault, 47.9 on bars, 47.625 on beam and 48.625 on floor. Aiken was also the lone Colonial to compete in the all-around and she finished runner-up with a mark of 37.900.

On vault, Aiken won the individual title with a score of 9.75 to lead the Colonials, while freshman Kristen Simpson (Surfside, SC) placed third overall with a 9.7.

Freshman Bree Plotsker (Wantagh, NY) led the way on uneven bars with a score of 9.65 to claim runner-up honors, while senior Amy Stack (Matthews, NC) and sophomore Abbey Myles (Waxhaw, NC) each tied for third with respective 9.625's.

Plotsker once again was the Colonials' top performer on beam with a mark of 9.65. Aiken and senior co-captain Tiffany Jones (Ravenna, OH) each posted season-best scores of 9.6 to finish tied for fifth.

Leading by the slimmest of margins heading into its floor exercise routines and following the Golden Flashes' score of 48.425 on floor, GW turned in five solid performances led by Aiken's 9.8, which earned her a share of the individual crown, to clinch the victory. Junior Jess Guilbert (Roswell, GA) and sophomore Carolyn Marckesano (Reston, VA) finished fourth and fifth, respectively, with season-high scores of 9.75 and 9.725. Senior Heather Kaufman (Austin, TX) and Stack also turned in season-best performances to place tied for seventh each with scores of 9.675.
