WASHINGTON, DC - The Colonials Women's Gymnastics team returned to action Friday night in Towson and recorded a season-high team score in a 193.450-192.045 loss. Junior Leslie Delima led the Colonials with a team score of 38.775 in the all-around. She also got the top individual score as she recorded a 9.875 in her floor routine.

George Washington also had three other competitors in the all-around as freshman Kayla Carto recorded a career-high 38.500 and senior Megan Quinn scored a 38.300 of her own. Quinn put forth the top balance beam score for the Colonials as she scored a 9.750.

The Colonials scored nine routines of 9.700 or higher in the competition and scored highest in the floor exercise as they put forth a score of 48.700. The Colonials also scored a 48.300 on vault.

Senior Danielle Parretti also put forth a strong 9.725 score on balance beam and freshman Stephanie Stoicovy scored a 9.675 in her floor routine.

Towson was led by Alise McDonald, who scored a 38.750 in the all-around. The Tigers highest individual score was by Avis Hixon, who scored a 9.800 on the floor exercise.

George Washington will return to action next Friday, March 5 when they head to Pittsburgh and take on the Pitt Panthers. Western Michigan will also be at the meet in an out of conference competition for the Broncos. First rotation is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. EST
