Gymnastics Places Third in Lexington
Senior Megan Quinn leads Colonials with 38.500 in all-around

The Colonials Women's Gymnastics team ventured to SEC Country Friday night and recorded a team score of 191.150 against Kentucky and Illinois St. Kentucky won the meet with a team score of 194.650 and Illinois State finished second with a team score of 193.275.
George Washington was led by senior Megan Quinn, who scored a 38.500 in the all-around. Freshman Kayla Carto finished with an all-around score of 38.175 and junior Leslie Delima scored a 37.950 of her own. Sophomore Amanda Murphy was the fourth all-around performer and finished with a 38.275.
The Colonials performed best on vault, scoring a 48.250 in the rotation and were led by Carto, who scored a 9.725. Delima also put in a strong routine and scored a 9.675, in the meet. Lindsay Tom led the Colonials on balance beam with a score of 9.575 and Delima led George Washington on floor with a score of 9.675.
Kentucky was led in the all-around by Andrea Mitchell, who finished with an all-around score of 38.800925. Wildcat Emily Green had the highest individual score when she scored a 9.900 on floor.
Illinois State was led by Erica Schick, who finished with a score of 38.850. The top score for the Tribe was a 9.825 score by Hannah Deutsch.
George Washington will return to action this Wednesday, March 17 when they return to the Smith Center and take on the Towson Tigers. First rotation is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. EST
