WASHINGTON, DC - The Colonials Women's Gymnastics team returned to action Saturday afternoon at the 2010 EAGL Championships and scored a near-season high score of 193.575. In the very competitive field of teams, it placed the Colonials in seventh place, but there were lots of positives to take from the meet. George Washington had 11 routines of 9.700 or above.

George Washington was led by senior Megan Quinn, who scored a 38.900 in the all-around. Freshman Kayla Carto finished with a career-high all-around score of 38.700 and junior Leslie Delima also scored a 38.425 in the all-around of her final home meet. Sophomore Amanda Murphy was the fourth all-around performer and finished with a 38.775.

The Colonials performed best on floor for the fourth straight meet, scoring a 48.700 in the rotation and were led by Quinn and Parretti, who scored a 9.775. Carto led the Colonials on balance beam with a score of 9.750. Carto and Quinn led George Washington on bars with a score of 9.700. Murphy led the Colonials on vault with a score of 9.775.

North Carolina was led in the all-around by Kara Wright, who finished with an all-around score of 39.325. Zoya Johnson had the highest individual score when she scored a 9.900 on vault.
