WASHINGTON – For the second straight week and third time this season, George Washington gymnastics senior Jillian Winstanley was named East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) Gymnast of the Week after posting the highest all-around in EAGL this season with a score of 39.525.

In their annual Pink Meet, the Colonials scored a conference-best 196.525 and went 3-0 against Kent State, William & Mary, and UW-Oshkosh to top the league with a 10-2 mark on the season. Winstanley helped lead the team to its fourth straight victory behind her season-best 39.525 in the all-around and tied for first place on vault (9.900). The co-captain also collected two second-place finishes on bars (9.875) and beam (9.875), and tied for third on floor with a season-high 9.875.

Winstanley’s 39.525 placed her on the all-around podium for the fourth-straight week and put the Arlington, Massachusetts, native in sole possession of fourth place on GW’s all-time all-around score list. The finance major has scored above a 39.000 in the last four meets and has broken the 39.000 threshold 11 times since the start of the 2017 season.
