LEADING OFF: The No. 20 George Washington gymnastics team opens a busy weekend of competition on Friday night when it hosts its annual Pink Meet at the Charles E. Smith Center (7 p.m.) against No. 22 Iowa, Pittsburgh, Maryland and William & Mary.

The Colonials then travel south to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, for a meeting with 2016 National Runner Up No. 2 LSU. Iowa will also compete in the tri-meet.

LAST TIME OUT: GW finished in third place at Missouri's quad meet last Friday night. The Colonials totaled 194.35 in the meet with six gymnasts placing in the top-10 of the balance beam standings.

EAGL RANKS: GW continues to lead the East Atlantic Gymnastics League with an average team score of 195.613 while also ranking first in the conference as a team on balance beam (49.142 avg., 9th in NCAA), floor exercise (48.963) and vault (48.825).

CAMI CAN VAULT: Junior Cami Drouin-Allaire, who earned All-America Vault honors as a freshman, continues to dazzle on the apparatus in her third season at GW. She enters the weekend ranked first overall in the EAGL with an average routine of 9.846. Her 9.90 routine on February 5 is also the best routine in the conference this season.

The 2016 EAGL Gymnast of the Year has vaulted to a score of 9.90 or better on nine occasions in her career.

HOME COOKING: GW rises to the occasion when performing in front of its home fans at the Smith Center. The Colonials boast a 26-1 record in home meets over the past three seasons.

BEAM LEADERS: Five GW gymnasts continue to occupy positions in the top-10 of individual balance beam rankings in the EAGL. Junior Liz Pfeiler sits second overall with an average routine of 9.842 while classmate Sara Mermelstein is tied for third place at 9.817.

Junior Alex Zois (9.813 avg.), senior Alex DeMoura (9.792 avg.) and Drouin-Allaire (9.788) are ranked seventh though ninth, respectively.
