Gymnastics Preview: Penn State

Feb. 19, 2005

STATE COLLEGE, PA - The George Washington University gymnastics team is back in action Saturday evening when it faces No. 14 Penn State at 7:00 p.m. at the Bryce Jordan Center. The meet will be a double-dual affair as the Penn State men will also be in action. Fans can catch all the action live as WPSX-TV will be airing the contest locally, while College Sports Television (CSTV) will air the meet nationally.

The Colonials are coming off a season-high total of 193.475 at the Hearts Invitational hosted by NC State last weekend in Raleigh. In addition, GW head coach Margie Foster-Cunningham is returning to her alma mater this weekend. The Gloversville, NY, native was a five-time All-American at Penn State and led the Nittany Lions to a national championship in 1980.

If you miss the live broadcast on CSTV, the network will re-air the meet on Tuesday, Feb. 22, at 12:00 p.m. and 11:59 p.m.
