WASHINGTON, DC - The East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) announced today that George Washington University senior gymnast Kristen Simpson (Surfside, SC) has been named the EAGL Co-Specialist of the Week.

Simpson has a big afternoon for the Colonials head-to-to head matchup against William and Mary last Sunday, as she recorded two 9.900's on vault and floor exercise. The score on floor set a career-high for Simpson and her vault score was just short of her career-high 9.950 she achieved last season. Simpson played a large part in the Colonial's 193.250-190.400 win over William& Mary as they prepare for the final stretch of the regular season.

George Washington will return to the road this weekend as they take on the New Hampshire Wildcats on Saturday, February 28 at 1:00 p.m. This will begin a stretch of three road meets in four weeks for the Colonials, who also have trips to Ohio State and NC State left on the regular season schedule.
