Drouin-Allaire Earns Third EAGL Gymnast of the Week Honor

WASHINGTON – After posting a career-high all-around score of 39.500 at Penn State on Saturday, senior co-captain Cami Drouin-Allaire has earned her third East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) Gymnast of the Week honor for 2018.

On Saturday afternoon, the Colonials totaled 196.475 to edge out the Nittany Lions who finished with a 196.150, behind team scores of 49.050 on vault, 48.925 on uneven bars, 49.250 on balance beam, and 49.250 on floor exercise. Drouin-Allaire made multiple appearances on the podium, finishing tied-for-first on floor with a career-high 9.950, second in the all-around and vault (9.875), and third on bars with a career-high matching 9.875. She added a 9.825 on beam, which tied for sixth.

The Shorham, New York native, has broken the 39.000 threshold in the all-around six out of eight weeks of competition this season and currently is ranked tied-for-ninth in the nation and first in the league on vault (9.895 RQS). In addition, she ranks second in the league in both floor (tied for 19th nationally) and all-around (18th nationally).

The gymnastics squad has also taken the top EAGL honor six out of nine weeks of competition this season.

The Colonials will will visit the site of the 2018 EAGL Championship for tri-meet action with EAGL foe Towson and Rutgers on Friday before returning home to the Charles E. Smith Center on Sunday.
