CNU Women's Invite Results | Pirate Team Races Results

George Washington sailing heads to Hampton Roads for the third time in as many weeks to compete in a pair of regattas this weekend - the Christopher Newport Women's Invite in Newport News, Va., and the Pirate Team Races in Hampton, Va.

GW will join Cornell, Old Dominion, Princeton, William & Mary and the host Captains at the CNU Women's Invite. Freshman Hannah McNomee and sophomore Meagan Murphy will sail in A Division, and sophomore Madeline Taggart and senior Skye Kussmann will race in B Division.

At the Pirate Team Races, GW will battle St. Mary's College (Md.), Old Dominion, Buffalo, Cornell and host Hampton in one-on-one races. "We will sail against each team in a three-boat vs three-boat heat, with the team with the lowest score in each heat winning," said head coach John Pearce. "Our record will be a win/loss record rather than a point total. It is a bit different, and we will do lots of these in future years, but this is our only team race this year."
