GW Gymnastics' Raineri Named EAGL Rookie of Week
Freshman Earns Third Weekly Honor in Final Week of Regular Season

BALTIMORE - For the third time this season, George Washington freshman gymnast Chelsea Raineri has been named the East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) Rookie of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday.
Raineri was previously honored as the top rookie on Jan. 22 and Feb. 26.
The Telford, Pa., native dominated the final weekend of competition, totaling first-place finishes in five of her six routines to lead the Colonials to two victories.
On vault she notched a score of 9.875 for the seventh and eighth time this season in a pair of event titles at Towson and at Sunday's Senior Meet, respectively. She also set a season high on uneven bars with a 9.875 on Sunday, tying for first place for her first career event title on bars.
Raineri was dominant on floor exercise as well, tying for first in both meets with a 9.875 on Friday and 9.85 on Sunday.
Raineri enters Sunday's EAGL Championship as the second-ranked vault performer in the conference with a regional-qualifying score of 9.880. She leads the EAGL with an average routine of 9.875 and has tied or eclipsed her average score (RQS) on eight occasions this season.
She is also ranked sixth on floor exercise (9.850 RQS) and 13th on uneven bars (9.770 RQS)
