Stoicovy, Zander and Henderson Compete at NCAA Gainesville Regional
Stoicovy Ties for Sixth on Floor Exercise Against Top Gymnasts in the Region

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - George Washington senior gymnast Stephanie Stoicovy, along with juniors Betsy Zander and Taylor Henderson, competed at the NCAA Gainesville Regional on Saturday evening at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center.
Stoicovy and Zander each qualified as all-around performers while Henderson received a bid as an individual performer on uneven bars.
Stoicovy registered the highest event finish of the three gymnasts, tying for sixth place on the floor exercise with a 9.875. She added a 9.60 on vault (37th), 9.60 on uneven bars (38th) and a 9.45 on balance beam (37th) for a 38.525 in the all-around (16th).
Zander's best event was the balance beam where she tied for 16th with a 9.775. She placed 11th in the all-around with a 38.975 after adding a 9.675 on vault (34th), 9.70 on uneven bars (32nd) and 9.825 on floor exercise.
Henderson placed 16th on uneven bars with a 9.825.
Florida and Minnesota each earned the automatic bids to the NCAA Gymnastics National Championships by virtue of its top-two finishes. The Gators won the meet with a team score of 198.400 while the Golden Gophers finished in second with 197.100.
