Four GW Gymnasts Conclude Season at NCAA Regionals

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Senior Monique Blount, junior Stephanie Stoicovy, sophomore Kiera Kenney and freshman Elena Corcoran concluded their 2012 season at the NCAA Fayetteville Regional on Saturday evening at Barnhill Arena.
Against some of the nation's premier gymnasts, Stoicovy tied for 15th place on the floor exercise with a 9.825. She added a 9.100 on vault, 9.550 on uneven bars and 9.000 on balance beam to place 13th in the all-around with 37.475.
Corcoran concluded her debut season at GW by landing a 9.800 on vault to tie for 17th place in the event.
Kenney tied for 21st overall on the uneven bars with a 9.725 while Blount, an All-EAGL First team selection on balance beam, scored a 9.550 on the beam.
UCLA and the host Razorbacks won the team portion of the event to advance to the NCAA Championships on April 20-22 at The Arena at Gwinnett Center in Duluth, Ga.
