Gymnastics Welcomes Olivia Zona

WASHINGTON – George Washington gymnastics head coach Margie Foster-Cunningham has announced the addition of Olivia Zona to the Colonials’ roster for the 2019 season.

Zona is the fifth gymnast to join GW's 2019 recruiting class, alongside Deja Chambliss (Chesterfield, Va.), Simone Banen (Wyckoff, NJ), Olivia Raymond (Boonton, NJ), and Paige Apperson (Mission Viejo, Calif.)

Trained and Competed for 10.0 Gymnastics Academy … Junior Olympic National Qualifier in 2016 … finished sixth in the all-around, second on floor, and fifth on vault at the 2017 Level 10 Massachusetts State … took fourth-place in the all-around, third on vault and beam, and sixth on bars at the 2017 Level 10 Regionals … 2017 Junior Olympic National Qualifier … finished fifth in the all-around while taking top ranks on floor and second on vault at the 2018 Level 10 Massachusetts State … 2018 Level 10 Regional Qualifier.
