Kristen Simpson Named Team MVP for 2008-09

WASHINGTON, DC - Kristen Simpson was named the women's gymnastics team MVP at George Washington University's annual Senior Honors Luncheon on the GW campus Monday.

A senior from Surfside, SC, Kristen competed on vault, beam and floor exercise in every meet during the 2009 season. She earned First-Team All-EAGL honors on vault and Second-Team All-EAGL honors on floor, recording season-highs of 9.9 on vault, 9.7 on beam and 9.875 on floor. Kristen capped her season with a 9.875 on vault at NCAA Southeast Regionals, which placed her in fourth place against some of the top gymnasts in the country.
