Gymnastics Welcomes Six Recruits for 2018

WASHINGTON - The George Washington gymnastics team will open the defense of its East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) championship with six new student-athletes on the roster, head coach Margie Foster-Cunningham has announced.

All six incoming gymnasts have experience at the Junior Olympic level, with four of the student-athletes having earned multiple trips to the highest level.

Anna Warhol
Poland, Ohio/Boardman
Club: Youngstown Gymnastics Center

Competed for Youngstown Gymnastics Center (2005-17) ... two-time Level 10 Junior Olympic National Qualifier (2016-17) ... two-time Level 9 Eastern National Qualifier (2012-13) ... member of National Honor Society, National Art Society and National Spanish Honor Society.

Coach Foster-Cunningham on Warhol: "I am so excited for Anna to join our team. She is an outstanding bar worker and will add depth on the other three events as well. She has a tremendous work ethic and is equally excited to be a Colonial!"

Chloe Vitoff
Phoenix, Arizona/Horizon
Club: Arizona Sunrays Gymnastics

Competed for 15 years at Arizona Sunrays Gymnastics ... two-time Junior Olympic National Championship (2015-16) ... studied scholastically at Horizon High School ... member of National Honor Society, Society of Women Scholars and National French Honorary.

Coach Foster-Cunningham on Vitoff: "Chole will add depth on both vault and uneven bars. We are very excited about her joining the team and her potential to improve."

Club: Gold Medal Gymnastics Center



Competed for Gold Medal Gymnastics Center, Infiniti Elite Gymnastics and New Image Gymnastics ... four-time Junior Olympic National Championship Qualifier (2014-17).

Coach Foster-Cunningham on Cohen: "Hannah is a national qualifier that is strong on all four events. I expect her to have an instant impact on the balance beam lineup."

Club: Chantilly Academy Gymnastics Gymstars

Competed for Chantilly Academy Gymnastics GymStars (2004-17) ... Level 10 Junior Olympic National Championship qualifier (2017) ... three-time Level 10 Regional Championship qualifier (2015-17) ... Level 9 Eastern Championship qualifier (2014) ... won vault title and finished third in all-around at Level 9 Championship.

Coach Foster-Cunningham on Norman: "Olivia is a strong and powerful athlete. Her continued growth in the skill development area has been amazing. She should impact our lineup on vault and uneven bars instantly."

Competed for Chelsea Piers NYC Gymnastics Program ... Level 10 Junior Olympic National Championship Qualifier (2017).

Coach Foster-Cunningham on Guttenberg: "Gemma's strengths are the floor exercise and balance beam. Her gymnastics have gotten better and better the last two years and we are excited about her continued growth as a student-athlete.

Catherine Karpova
Brookline, Massachusetts/Brookline
Club: Massachusetts Elite Gymnastics Academy

Competed for New England Sports Academy (2006-16) and Massachusetts Elite Gymnastics Academy (2016-17) ... five-time Junior Olympic National Championship Qualifier ... placed fourth on balance beam and ninth on uneven bars at 2016 Junior Olympic National Championship ... 2011 Eastern Championship Qualifier, placing second on balance beam.

Coach Foster-Cunningham on Karpova: "Catherine excels on balance beam and floor exercise. She will add beauty, strength and depth to those two events. She is a beautiful athlete and her technical skills are extremely strong."
