WASHINGTON – The George Washington gymnastics team made the short trip to the U.S. Capitol on Friday morning for its annual photo shoot with former GW diving coach and current photographer Carl Cox.

Against an #OnlyAtGW backdrop consisting of the U.S. Capitol and surrounding fountains, the Colonials struck a number of poses to celebrate the start of the 2018 season.

Head coach Margie Foster-Cunningham and Cox have a long-standing relationship dating back to Cox’s time as the GW diving coach from 1976-1989. Cox has annually photographed the Colonials in front of a number of Washington, D.C., backdrops throughout the years including the Lincoln Memorial, Polo Grounds, on and around campus at Foggy Bottom and at the U.S. Capitol building.

The 2017 schedule was released at the end of September and fans can look forward to four home meets at the Charles E. Smith Center as the Colonials aim to repeat as East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) Champions.
