Women's Lacrosse Loses to La Salle

April 11, 2003

Box Score

PHILADELPHIA, PA - George Washington fell behind 7-3 by halftime at La Salle and were unable to overcome the Explorers' lead, as the Colonials lost a pivotal Atlantic 10 Conference match.

GW (6-5, 1-3) was unable to equal La Salle's offensive production in the first half, as the Explorers netted the first two scores of the match. A goal by freshman Lauren Bower at 21:02 brought the Colonials within one goal, the closest GW would get for the remainder of the match.

The Explorers would continue their offensive pressure in the second half, outscoring the Colonials 5-3 for a final tally of 12-6. Bower scored two goals as one of three Colonials that recorded two points for the match. Sophomores Jenny Heisler and Meghan McDonough each scored a goal and added an assist versus La Salle.

The Colonials remain in Philadelphia, PA to face Temple on Sunday, March 13, in a 12:00 p.m. match.
