Women's Lacrosse Bested By Temple, 15-7

April 13, 2003

PHILADELPHIA, PA - The Colonials jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first half at Temple, but allowed five unanswered scores to give the Owls the lead for the balance of the match.

GW (6-6, 1-3) trailed 8-5 by halftime, and narrowed the gap to just two scores to begin the second half, 8-6. However, the Colonials couldn't muster enough offense to keep pace with TU (7-5, 3-0) who outscored GW 7-1 down the stretch.

Sophomores Jamie Lee, who scored four goals, and Jenny Heisler added the other three on the afternoon to account for GW's offense. Meghan McDonough recorded a team-record five assists for the match.

The Colonials travel to Richmond to take on the Spiders in a 3:30 p.m. match on Thursday, April 17.
