GW (1-0) is coming off a season-opening 24-7 romp of crosstown foe Howard on Wednesday afternoon. A balanced scoring attacked that consisted of 15 different players scoring helped the Colonials defeat the Bison in their first game of the season for the fourth straight year.
Junior Jamie Bumgardner led all scorers with seven points on three goals and four assists while classmate Rachel Mia (3 g, 1 a) recorded four points, junior Allie Rash (1 g, 2 a) tallied three points and senior Jordy Bathras chipped in three goals. Junior Mackenzie Jones and rookie Erin Long split time in goal as Jones set aside two shots in the first half while Long made four saves in the second.

The Dragons return 20 players from their 2013 team that finished 11-7 overall and 4-3 in the Colonial Athletic Association. Highlighting Drexel’s returners are captain Amanda Norcini (20 g), who was named All-CAA First Team last season, and All-Rookie selection Emily Duffey (10 g, 2 a), in addition to goalkeeper Teresha Bradley, who recorded 112 saves last season.
