Lacrosse's Hostetler Named A-10 Rookie of the Week

WASHINGTON, DC - GW freshman Laura Hostetler was named the Atlantic 10 Conference Rookie of the Week for women's lacrossse, the league office announced Monday. It marks her first A-10 weekly honor.

The 5-10 midfielder from Ellicott City, MD, scored GW's second goal of the season in the Colonials' season-opening 9-6 loss to Towson on Feb. 28. Her free position goal pulled GW to within 3-2 at the 12:15 mark of the first half. GW tied the game at 5-5 before halftime before allowing four second-half goals. Hostetler totaled four shots on goal in the game.

GW (0-1) plays host to No. 20 Johns Hopkins (1-0) in the home opener this Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at Mount Vernon Field.
