Donohue Collects Second Atlantic 10 Weekly Honor

PHILADELPHIA, PA - George Washington women's lacrosse junior Taylor Donohue was named Atlantic 10 Player of the Week for the second time this season Monday after leading the Colonials to back-to-back league victories this past weekend.
Donohue totaled 12 points on five goals and seven assists in wins over Duquesne and St. Bonaventure to become the first GW player to capture multiple Player of the Week awards in a single season.
The Villanova, PA, native had a goal and game-high four assists in Friday's 18-9 rout of the Dukes, then set a career-high with seven points on four goals and three assists in Sunday's 13-12 victory against the Bonnies.
Donohue has scored at least one point in nine straight games and has 12 assists in her last three outings. She is second in the A-10 with 17 total assists and ranks seventh in the league with 3.27 points per game.
Donohue currently ranks seventh in program history in goals (63), assists (27) and points (90) in 42 career games.
GW, which is off to a 2-0 league start for the first time since 2005, travels to Temple Friday, April 3, at 3:00 pm.
