WASHINGTON - George Washington women's lacrosse freshman midfielder Nicole Lacey earned a share of the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week award Monday after netting the game-winning goal in a victory at La Salle and leading the team with 14 draws in two victories last week.

Lacey's second goal of the game with 1:49 left in triple overtime not only gave GW a 7-6 victory at La Salle Sunday, but also kept the Colonials in contention for an A-10 Championship berth. She also won eight draws against the Explorers, the second time in three games she's been a draw shy of the program's single-game record of nine.

Lacey added two goals and six draws in an 11-9 victory over Saint Joseph's in GW's home finale Friday. For the week, Lacey totaled four goals on eight attempts, 14 draws and two ground balls as the Colonials snapped a seven-game losing skid with back-to-back victories.

Lacey, who split the weekly award with Temple rookie Stephany Parcell, leads GW and ranks second in the A-10 with 40 draws and paces the team's rookie class with 10 goals and 12 points. Her 40 draws are second only to Katie Lilly's record of 50 set in 2009.

GW (4-10, 2-3 A-10) enters its final weekend of the regular season in a three-way tie for fifth place in the A-10 with its remaining two opponents - St. Bonaventure and Duquesne. The Colonials battle the Bonnies on the road Friday at 3:00 pm, then visit the Dukes Sunday at 1:00 pm.
