Lacrosse Set for Pair of A-10 Matchups

OPENING DRAW: The George Washington lacrosse team will split its weekend at home and on the road when it welcomes Saint Joseph's to the GW Lacrosse Field on the Mount Vernon Campus for a 3 p.m. draw on Friday before traveling to Pittsburgh to go head-to-head with Duquesne at 1 p.m. on Sunday.

LAST TIME OUT: The Colonials (9-5, 2-4 A-10) fell in a close offensive battle to VCU, 13-12, on Friday before conceding a 21-8 loss at home against No. 20 Massachusetts on Sunday.

SOPHOMORE SURGE: Sophomore Katie Quinn scored a career-high four goals at VCU on Friday before adding one goal and one assist against Massachusetts on Sunday. Quinn has made quite the jump from her freshman season, where she totaled 13 points (7g, 6a) and made seven starts. The midfielder currently ranks third on the team with 34 points (21 g, 13a), has started all 14 games, and has registered multiple goals in seven contests this season.

NEARING 100: Senior co-captain Jocelyn Donohue netted a pair of goals against the Minutewomen and now sits just one tally away from 100 career goals. Donohue paces the team with 40 points (37g, 3a) and has registered multiple goals in 13 of 14 games. The Amherst, New Hampshire native also hit the 100 point milestone earlier this season after netting her first of four goals against St. Bonaventure on March 31.

ABOUT SAINT JOSEPH'S: The Hawks (8-6, 4-2 A-10) defeated Duquesne, 15-4, on Sunday afternoon. Saint Joseph's held the Dukes to just one first half goal and finished the day with double-digits for the third straight game. The Hawks will put three three-game winning streak to the test when they face the Colonials.

ABOUT DUQUESNE: The Dukes (3-10, 1-5 A-10) opened Atlantic 10 action with a 24-14 win over St. Bonaventure on March 29, but have since dropped five straight conference matchups. Duquesne will first welcome Davidson to Rooney Field on Friday before hosting the Buff and Blue on Sunday.
