More Recognition for Hostetler

April 19, 2005

WASHINGTON, DC - Sophomore Laura Hostetler became the second Colonial to be selected to the Womenslacrosse.com Weekly Honor Roll on April 19. Hostetler joins senior Heidi Mayer as GW performers that have earned the accolade this season.

Hostetler became the Colonials' career scoring leader with two goals and two assists against Colgate on April 17. She now has 126 career points in 31 games (4.1 ppg). Her two assists versus the Raiders increased her season total to 19, a new single-season mark, and her two scores upped her total for the year to 45, matching her single-season goals scored record established in 2004. She leads the conference in points with 64, also a new GW single-season standard. Against Saint Joseph's on April 15, Hostetler registered six goals and four assists, tying her own school record for points in a game with 10.

GW currently stands in second place in the Atlantic 10 and it will host St. Mary's (CA) in its home finale at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, April 22 at the Mount Vernon Athletic Complex.
