Seven Colonials Earn A-10 All-Conference Lacrosse Honors
May 3, 2006 WASHINGTON, DC -- The George Washington lacrosse program landed seven players on the 2006 Atlantic 10 All-Conference teams in voting conducted among the Conference's head coaches, the league office announced Wednesday. Attacker Laura Hostetler (Ellicott City, MD) was the lone Colonial on the first team and the junior from Ellicott City, MD also made the All-Academic team. Junior Molly Gannon (Alexandria, VA) was selected to the second team along with teammate Caitlin Garman (Baltimore, MD), the Colonials' sophomore goalkeeper. Garman, who maintains a 3.94 GPA in Arts and Sciences, joined Hostetler on the All-Academic team. Sophomore midfielder and 2006 team MVP, Kristin Karsch (Kennett Square, PA) was joined by teammate Katelyn Honeyford (Moorestown, NJ) as Honorable Mention. A pair of freshmen, Meghan Cratty (Wilton, CT) and Catherine Lilly (Riva, MD), also made the All-Rookie team. Hostetler led the Colonials in goals (54), assists (17) and points (71). She also maintains a 3.45 GPA as a Fine Arts major. Karcsh was second in goals (30), assists (8) and points (38). Garman recorded 143 saves in nearly 863 minutes of playing time in the net.
