LOS ANGELES, Calif. – After helping to lead her squad to the Atlantic 10 Championship Semifinal match in one of the best seasons ever for George Washington Lacrosse, recent GW graduate Megan Seidman was named to the Jewish Sports Review 2012 Women’s Lacrosse All-America First Team, the publication announced on Thursday. Seidman is one of just 10 Division I student-athletes to be selected by the bi-monthly periodical.

A proven offensive threat throughout her four-year career, Seidman’s senior season with the Colonials was one for the record books. The Baltimore, Md., native now ranks second in school history with a total of 135 career goals and is third on the all-time list with 182 points. On Feb. 29, Seidman became just the third-ever GW player to score 100 career goals, and following classmate Sarah Phillips’ entry into the century club later that season, the duo became the first-ever set of teammates with 100 goals apiece.

Seidman was a 2012 Atlantic 10 All-Conference Second Team selection after leading the Buff and Blue with 44 goals on the season, good for seventh in the league and 36th in Division I. She capped her final year ranked second on the team in both assists (24) and points (68).

Following the 2012 season, Seidman was one of just two Colonials to be selected and compete for the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Association (IWLCA) Division I North-South Senior All-Star Game, which showcases the nation’s top seniors.
