MORGANTOWN, WV - The George Washington Women's Rowing team returned to action on Saturday, October 10th and finished second in the Head of the Mon in Morgantown, WV. The Colonials finished with a time of 19:30 in the Varsity Eight event, which was seven seconds behind West Virginia.

The Colonials also competed in the Women's Varsity Four race and were able to take second place with a time of 20:55. There were a total of nine boats in the Varsity Four race.

Head Coach Eric Carcich was pleased with his team after the race on Friday. "We are taking steps everyday and continue to make improvement," said Carcich. "We need to continue to work and get better each day, but I was pleased with how we performed.

The George Washington women's rowing team will return to action Sunday, October 25th when they head to the Princeton Chase.
