GW Women's Rowing's Kaminski, Pickus Named to A-10 All-Academic Team
First Team All-Conference Performers Add Academic Honors

Both Kaminski andPickus, members of GW's Atlantic 10 Champion Varsity 8 boat, were named to the league's All-Conference First Team earlier this month.
Wednesday's honor marks the second career conference academic honor for Kaminski, while Pickus earns the distinction for the first time.
The Varsity 8 boat enjoyed an impressive season, concluding with the program's third-ever gold medal at the Atlantic 10 Championship and first since 2006. The varsity crew also won a gold medal at the Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Association (SIRA) Championships and posted victories in the George's Cup and Class of 1998 Cup for the second season in a row.
Kaminski, a 2011 A-10 All-Academic honoree and three-time First Team All-Conference selection, earned her bachelor's degree in international affairs at Commencement on May 19. She is GW's nomination for the prestigious NCAA Woman of the Year Award and was recently named the 2013 Lynn George Outstanding Senior Woman Student-Athlete at the Senior Honors Luncheon.
Pickus, a junior from Las Vegas, Nev., boasts a 3.85 cumulative grade-point average and is majoring in biomedical engineering. She is a four-time selection to the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll and has been on the GW Athletics Academic Dean's List three times.
