GW Women's Soccer's Samie Cloutier Named Second Team All-Atlantic 10

Junior Defender Earns First-Ever Postseason Honor

2010: Patrolled the back line for GW in all 18 games, earning 17 starts...took three shots with one on goal...helped the Colonial defense keep opponents at a 1.10 goals-against average in 2010.

2009: Started in all 19 games as a defender for the Colonials...earned her first collegiate point when she assisted Kayley Sullivan's goal against Charlotte (Oct. 18)...took two shots, both on goal...named to the Atlantic 10 preseason All-Rookie team.

High School: With the Foothill Falcons, Cloutier was a three-year varsity member for coach Ron Lambert...helped the Falcons to a 2008-09 undefeated EBAL Championship season as a senior, and to the North Coast Section finals in back-to-back seasons...played seven season with the Pleasanton Rage club soccer team collecting four State Cup championships, three State Cup finalists, two Surf Cup finalists, made four Region IV tournament appearances, winning the championship in the 2006-07 season as U16 team...the 2008-09 season, the Rage were undefeated in the Golden State Soccer League Championship...also attended the U16 Nike Premiere 50 Camp in 2007, member of the U15 National Pool , and competed in Region IV Costa Rica Tour, Super Y ODP, Thanksgiving Interregional tournament and National Camp at the U14 level.

Personal: Born Samantha Kalei Cloutier on January 5, 1991, in Woodbridge, VA...daughter of Marlo and David Cloutier...has one sister, Mallory...majoring in sport, event and hospitality management.
