GW Women's Soccer to Host Clinics through Spring, Summer and Winter Months
Girls from Rising High School Freshmen through Seniors Invited to Attend Clinics
Jan. 11, 2013
WASHINGTON - The George Washington women's soccer program will hold a series of clinics throughout the spring, summer and winter months at the university's Mount Vernon Campus for girls who are rising high school freshmen through high school seniors.
The Colonials' spring clinic will be held on April 21 and the summer clinic will be held July 14-15. Each clinic will run from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Dates and prices for next winter sessions have not yet been determined.
The GW clinics will offer coaching sessions of the highest caliber where players will be pushed and challenged beyond their boundaries by the Buff and Blue coaching staff and student-athletes.
Participants will take part in field sessions, which includes technical and tactical skill work. There will also be goal keeping lessons, in addition to small-sided and 11-on-11 scrimmages. The Colonials' coaching staff will also attend a question and answer session where players can inquire about playing soccer at the collegiate level.
Those who attend will receive lunch and a t-shirt, as well as a clinic evaluation on areas to develop. The cost of the spring clinic is $100 and the price of the summer clinic is $200.
Be sure to check back to GWsports.com for clinic flyers and online registration links. For more information please contact assistant women's soccer coach Emma Wright at firstname.lastname@example.org or 202-994-7262.
