Bruh, Cloutier Named to A-10 Women's Soccer Preseason All-Rookie Team

PHILADELPHIA, PA - George Washington women's soccer incoming freshmen defenders Molly Bruh (East Williston, NY/Wheatley) and Samie Cloutier (Pleasanton, CA/Foothill) have been named to the 2009 Atlantic 10 Preseason All-Rookie Team as chosen by the league's head coaches and released Monday.

A topdrawersoccer.com Top 100 recruit, Bruh led her Albertson Fury club team to four New York State Cup championships and a regional final appearance. She attended the prestigious adidas ESP Camp and was a member of the Region I Olympic Development Program team, competing in events in Costa Rica and Florida. Bruh was a first team Class B All-State selection at The Wheatley School in 2008.

Cloutier, a topdrawersoccer.com Top 200 recruit, guided Foothill High School to a 21-1-0 overall record and a No. 6 final ranking in ESPN Rise's Fab 50 rankings this past winter. She was a member of the United States U-14 and U-15 National Teams and recently served as team captain for her Pleasanton Rage club team which captured a Region IV championship in 2007 and finished third nationally. Cloutier was one of nine Foothill players to receive a Division I scholarship.

Bruh and Cloutier's selections mark the third consecutive year a GW recruit has been named to the preseason All-Rookie Team following Sierra Smidinger in 2008 and Jillian Morgan in 2007.

The Colonials kick off the 2009 season against Towson Aug. 24, at Mount Vernon Field.
