Women’s Soccer’s Beth Ellinport Named High School Scholar All-American

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – George Washington women’s soccer’s Beth Ellinport earned a place on the United Soccer Coaches High School Scholar All-American Team.

A four-year starter at Quince Orchard High School, Ellinport excelled both on and off the field, earning the Scholar-Athlete and Maryland Athletic Association Scholar-Athlete Awards in addition to team MVP honors as a sophomore and senior. As a team captain in 2016 and 2017, the Gaithersburg, Maryland, native was named to the Maryland All-State and Washington Post All-Met teams and helped lead her team to the 4A West Regional Championship/State semifinal game in her final season.

Off the field, Ellinport was a member of the National, Technical, Math, and Science Honor Societies and received the President’s Award for Educational Excellence. An active member of her Student Government Association, Ellinport graduated with a 4.77 GPA and intends to major in engineering.

A total of 83 players receive High School Scholar All-American recognition, including 28 male student-athletes and 55 female student-athletes.
