WASHINGTON, DC - George Washington women's soccer team hosts Old Dominion today in the Colonials' first exhibition match of the preseason at 4:30 p.m. at the Mount Vernon Field.

The women's soccer team finished the 2009 campaign 7-8-4, just shy of qualifying for the Atlantic 10 Championship tournament. GW returns three of the top five scorers from last season in seniors Ashley Starks and Jillian Morgan and junior Sierra Smidinger.

GW's final preseason scrimmage takes place Saturday, Aug. 21, at 6 p.m. against George Mason in Fairfax, Va.

The Colonials open the 2010 season against Georgetown on Aug.27, at 3:00 p.m. on the Hoyas' North Kehoe Field.

The home of GW women's soccer, Mount Vernon Field, is located at 2100 Foxhall Road in Northwest Washington.
