Osborne opened the scoring at the 16 minute mark of the first half with a volley from about 10 yards out. The goal was set up by a long throw in from Jeff Greenspan. The score remained 1-0 until Osborne took the ball on the left side and made a couple of nice moves to beat his defender and score an unassisted goal just inside the far post at the 58 minute mark. Liberty answered quickly with a goal from Jose Gomez to make it 2-1, but GW gained the momentum right back with a goal from Matt Pilkington, who took a gorgeous feed from Greenspan to give GW a two goal lead once again. GW continued with its offensive pressure and put the game away in the 79th minute when Gregg Friedman made a nice cross through the box and a hustling Kirk Lewis blasted it into the back of the net.
With the win GW advances to play the winner of the American/Georgetown game at 2:30 on Monday at Harbin Field on the campus of Georgetown Univeristy.
