Women's Soccer Gears Up for Robert Morris on Sunday
Sept. 3, 2011
WASHINGTON - The George Washington women's soccer team looks to bounce back from Friday's loss to Iowa when it hosts non-conference foe Robert Morris on Sunday. The GW Colonials (1-3) will take on the RMU Colonials (4-2) at Mount Vernon Field at 1 p.m. GW - which is coming off Friday's 4-1 loss to undefeated Big Ten opponent Iowa - looks to notch its first-ever win against Robert Morris following narrow one-goal losses each of the past two seasons. Freshman Taylor Katz netted her first career goal Friday against the Hawkeyes, and junior Adriana Moya was credited with the assist. Robert Morris defeated nearby American, 2-1, on Friday. Ayana Davis led all scorers with a goal and an assist in that contest. Sunday's match, as well as all of GW's home matches this season, can be viewed live online via video streaming at GWsports.com.
