Women's Soccer's Warner Named Third Team All-Mid Atlantic

Dec. 3, 2001

WASHINGTON, DC (Dec. 3) - Redshirt sophomore Kim Warner (North York, Ontario/St. Joseph's) has been selected to the 2001 National Soccer Coaches Association of America's All-Mid-Atlantic Region third team in voting conducted among the region's head coaches.

Warner led the Colonials in goals scored (8), assists (4), points (20), shots (45) and gamewinning goals (3). Warner's 20 points ranked her third in the Atlantic 10 in scoring and her nine points during Conference play ranked her 10th in Atlantic 10 scoring. Warner is now tied for 21st place on GW's all-time scoring list with 31 points.

The Colonials finished the season with an overall record of 8-10 and an Atlantic 10 record of 5-6. Next season, Warner will return to be the focal point of a team that will return 18 of 23 players.
