First-year assistant coach Megan Cusick joined the GW staff in Sept. 2009 after serving as an assistant coach at Oakcrest High in McLean, VA. She helped guide the 2009 Oakcrest team to its first Potomac Valley Athletic Conference title since 1996.

Prior to coaching at the high school level, Cusick concluded a four-year playing career at Division III Tufts University in 2008. While at Tufts, Cusick had a standout year as a senior, slugging .478 with eight doubles, 26 runs batted in and 12 walks as she helped her team to a second consecutive New England Small College Athletic Conference Championship.

Cusick also was a perennial All-NESCAC and NFCA All-New England Region selection at catcher and completed her career ranked third all-time in Tufts program history with 155 games played.

Cusick graduated from Tufts in 2008 with bachelor's of science degree in psychology and sociology. She resides in Washington, DC.
