Six GW Softball Players Earn A-10 Postseason Honors

Junior Hurler Courtney Martin is First Colonial on First Team Since 2007

At GW: 2006 -Started all 52 games at shortstop and led the Colonials with a .414 batting average, 65 hits, 39 runs, 13 doubles, seven triples, 29 runs batted in, .662 slugging percentage, 104 total bases and 22 stolen bases en route to being named to the CoSIDA Academic All-American first-team ... was also named to the All-Atlantic 10 first-team and A-10 Student Athlete of the Year ... led the A-10 in triples and batting average ... finished second in the conference in stolen bases, slugging, on-base pct., and total bases ... led the squad with 19 multi-hit hit games, including three four-hit games ... Raised her average 42 points by batting .875 with three runs scored, five runs batted in, three doubles, a home run, and two stolen bases in the doubleheader against Rhode Island (Mar. 26) ... ESPN The Magazine First Team All-District ... NFCA Mid-Atlantic All-Region Second Team ...
