BATON ROUGE, La. - The George Washington softball team concluded the LSU Tiger Invitational with a 9-1 five-inning loss to Penn State on Sunday morning at Tiger Park.

After a scoreless third, Penn State added a single run in the fourth to take a 7-0 lead before GW (0-10) got on the board.
With two outs in the top of the fifth, freshman Madi Myers-Cook doubled to left-center field and sophomore Meghan Rico singled up the middle to bring home the Colonials' only run of the game, and Penn State scored twice more in the bottom of the inning for the 9-1 win.
Senior Courtney Martin (0-7) took the loss after allowing three runs on three hits and six walks in two-thirds of an inning.
