Box Score

HARRISONBURG, VA - The George Washington University softball team fell to James Madison, 7-0, in game one of a non-conference doubleheader at the JMU Softball Complex Wednesday.

James Madison held the Colonials (8-14, 1-1 Atlantic 10) to just three hits, but GW drew three walks and had runners get on base by two errors and a wild pitch. None advanced beyond third base, however.

Junior Amanda Gabriel (4-7) took the loss in six innings of work. Gabriel allowed 10 hits on seven runs (four earned), walked one batter and struck out two.

The Colonials and Dukes will play the second half of the double dip later Wednesday afternoon.
