WASHINGTON - The George Washington softball team fell to Fordham, 9-0 in five innings in game two of the weekend Atlantic 10 Conference match-up at Mount Vernon Softball Field. The Rams (34-8, 8-2) took the first match-up, 3-0, from the Colonials (5-28, 2-10) on Friday.

Fordham got on the board early and often against the Colonials, putting up one run on two hits and one error in the first inning.

The Rams put up two runs on three hits in the top half of the second inning, while in the bottom half of the inning the Colonials tried to get something started after freshman Sandi Moynihan got a solid base hit up the middle, but was left stranded.

Fordham put up six unanswered runs in the next three innings for the 9-0 conference victory.

Jordyn O'Donnell recorded the other GW hit in the forth inning.

The Colonials travel to face Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA, on Sunday, April 18, for two games starting at 1:00 p.m.

In upcoming mid-week action, GW will host match-ups against two DC rivals. The Colonials will take on Georgetown on Tuesday, April 20 for one game starting at 4:00 p.m. at Mount Vernon Softball Field. On Wednesday, GW will take on Howard for two games starting at 3:00 p.m. at The Vern.
