GW Softball Cancels Thursday, Friday Games

GW will play three games at this weekend's Colonial Classic.

WASHINGTON - The George Washington softball team's game against Drexel, originally scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 27 at 3:30 p.m., has been canceled due to cold temperatures. In addition, the first day of the Colonial Classic this Friday has been canceled and the schedule for the rest of the tournament has been altered.

The Colonial Classic will now be a two-day tournament with three games on both Saturday, March 1, and Sunday, March 2.

Akron and Drexel will open the tournament on Saturday at 10 a.m., followed by Akron and Providence at 12:15 p.m. GW and Providence conclude the first day of action at 2:30 p.m.

Sunday begins at 10 a.m., with Drexel and Providence. The Colonials will play in the final two games of the tournament, facing Akron at 12:15 p.m., and Drexel at 2:30 p.m.
