Softball Set To Host Annual Colonial Classic

WASHINGTON, DC - The George Washington University softball team (3-1) will host its annual Colonial Classic this weekend (March 2-4) against Army, Canisius, Colgate and Longwood at the Mount Vernon Softball Complex located at 2100 Foxhall Road, NW. The schedule for this weekend's games are as follows.

Friday, March 2
1:00 pm: GW vs. Army
3:00 pm: Colgate vs. GW


Saturday, March 3
9:00 am: Canisius vs. Colgate
11:00 am: GW vs. Canisius
1:00 pm: Colgate vs. Longwood
3:00 pm: Longwood vs. Army

Sunday, March 4
9:00 am: Army vs. Colgate
11:00 am: Canisius vs. Army
1:00 pm: Longwood vs. Canisius
3:00 pm: GW vs. Longwood

The Colonials are off to their best start in program history after winning three of the four games in last weekend's Mercer Classic in Macon, GA. The Colonials slugged 11 home runs in the four games after hitting only 19 all last season. Junior Hilary King led the team with three homers en route to being named the Atlantic 10 Player of the Week. Juniors Caroline Howe, Colleen Kegler and Jackie Yaniga also added a pair of round trippers for GW.
