GW Softball Cancels Colonial Classic
Tuesday's Game Against UMBC Also Postponed

WASHINGTON - The George Washington softball team's Colonial Classic tournament, which was scheduled for the weekend of March 1-2, has been canceled due to unplayable field conditions.
In addition, GW head coach Stacey Schramm announced that the Colonials' game against UMBC, originally scheduled for Tuesday, March 4, has been postponed due to the winter storm expected in the D.C. area. The Colonials and Retrievers will now face off on Tuesday, March 25, at 3 p.m. at the GW Softball Field on the Mount Vernon Campus.
GW will return to action next weekend with the three-day Colonials Tournament, hosting Howard, Binghamton and Wagner March 7-9.
