Softball Lands Six on NFCA Scholar-Athlete List
Colonials honored for excellence in classroom
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Six George Washington softball student-athletes have been honored by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association as Easton/NFCA Scholar Athletes for 2016-2017.
Senior Rochelle Draper, junior Riley Tejcek, sophomores Jessica Linquist, Elena Shelepak and Faith Weber and recent graduate Megan Linn were among 1,843 individuals across NCAA Division I recognized by the NFCA on Tuesday for earning a grade point average of 3.5 or higher last school year.
All five current Colonials made the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll in both the fall and spring semesters. Linn earned a spot on the list in the fall before graduating with a degree in Sport, Event and Hospitality Management in May.
