GW Softball to Host Winter Hitting Camp on Sunday, Nov. 13

The GW softball team will host a Winter Hitting Camp on Sunday, Nov. 13 at Mount Vernon Softball Field and Lloyd Gymnasium.

Winter Hitting Camp Registration

WASHINGTON – The George Washington women’s softball program will host a Winter Hitting Camp at the university’s Mount Vernon Softball Field and Lloyd Gymnasium on Sunday, Nov. 13.

The Winter Hitting Camp is open to girls, ages 12-18 and is designed to develop softball knowledge, hitting approach and offensive skill set. Campers will receive elite instruction from the GW softball coaching staff, as well as members of the softball team.

Camp check in is scheduled for 8-9 a.m., Sunday, followed immediately by Session I of offensive instruction and drills. A lunch break will take place at noon, and Session II of instruction and drills will begin at 1:15 p.m.

At 4:15 p.m., campers will have an opportunity for a Q&A session with the camp staff, and check out will follow at 5 p.m.

The registration fee for the Winter Hitting Camp is $55. Campers should provide their own lunch, as well as their own equipment and practice clothing. Campers can register by mail or online at All mail-in registration must be received by Sunday, Nov. 6.
