GW Student-Athletes at Freshman Day of Service

GW Student-Athletes joined the university for Sept. 8's Freshman Day of Service, the largest day of service in the nation.

2016-2017: Led the team with 14 victories against three losses, all at the No. 1 position on the ladder … her 53 career victories ranks second all time at GW … named to the CSA All-American second team … recipient of the 2017 CSA Richey Award, given annually to the women’s college squash player for best exemplifying the ideals of squash in her love of and devotion to the game, her strong sense of fairness and her excellence of play and leadership … earned a sweep against then-#4 Princeton’s Isabel Hirshberg, 11-9, 11-3, 11-7 … defeated Tanvi Khanna of then-#7 Columbia (11-7, 11-6, 11-4) … closed out her career at GW with a seven match win streak, earning six of those victories by way of sweep … posted a win against Quincy Beck of then-#10 Brown (11-5, 11-7, 11-7) to end the season ranked 12th in the nation … competed at the CSA Individual National Championships at Dartmouth University in the Ramsay Cup … fell in the first round to Kayley Leonard of Harvard (11-4, 13-11, 11-4) … recognized on the GW Athletics Academic Dean’s List.

2015-2016: Led team with 14 victories against four losses in the No. 2 spot...Closed the season on a three match win streak...Won the Holleran Cup (B-Division) D-Draw championship to earn All-American status at the College Squash Association (CSA) Individual National Championships...Picked up wins against No. 12 Brown (11-6, 11-8, 11-6 over Skylar Murphy) and No. 8 Cornell (6-11, 14-12, 11-8, 11-3 over Rachel Scherman)...Defeated Hayley Parsons of No. 18 Bates, 11-5, 8-11, 11-5, 11-3...Named to the GW Athletics Academic Dean's List.

2014-15: Tied for second with nine wins ... went 8-7 at the No. 2 position on the ladder and 1-0 at No. 1 ... won six matches in straight sets ... represented native Ireland at World Squash Federation Women's World Team Championships in Niagara-On-The-Lake, Ontario, Canada ... went 7-2 in final nine matches of season ... allowed an average of 5.5 points per set in her nine victories ... 3-3 record in matches that extended past three sets.

2013-14: Led team with 16 victories against just three losses in debut season ... 15 of 16 wins came in straight sets ... recorded 14 wins at the No. 2 position on ladder while going 2-0 in matches at No. 1 ... yielded an average of 4.5 points per set in her victories ... closed season on eight-match win streak ... went 3-0 at CSA Team Nationals, helping GW to first-ever Kurtz Cup Championship ... allowed an average of five points per set in her three victories at CSA Team Nationals ... finished with a record of 5-3 in matches against opponents from top-10 programs ... 1-2 in matches that extended past three sets.

High School/Club: Winner of the Currash Senior Open as a senior ... also as a senior, finished as runner-up at the Munster Senior Open, Mt. Pleasant Senior Open and the Leinster Closed ... also placed third at the Carlow Senior Open ... as a junior, won four tournaments including the Irish Junior Nationals ... graduated first in her class.
